Gloria:
Bachelors and Master’s degrees from Baylor University in Piano Pedagogy and Performance.
Piano Teaching philosophy –Everyone can and should learn to make music. Every student deserves the best help I can give them, requiring me to be highly knowledgeable, competent, creative, supportive, and patient, remembering what it is like to learn and strive myself. It is my sincere hope that through my teaching, others will be inspired to continue making music and share what they have learned.
Glen:
Bachelors and Master’s degrees from Baylor University in Music Theory.
Currently works for a defense contractor in Louisville, KY as the Digital Technologies Site Lead. He would say he is a professional pest, making sure the computers on site keep working the way everyone needs them to work.
Gloria and Glen met and married while at Baylor. After completing their degrees, they moved to Denver where Gloria held Glen to a promise to learn to dance the only way he would agree to – Square Dancing. They fell in love with it right away, finding the social aspect as fun as the dancing itself. Square dancing led them to learn about and start Round Dancing.
Fast forward 33 years, during pandemic, when friends talked them into teaching them Round Dancing since square dancing was on hold. Finding this to be extremely fun and rewarding, they decided to make this a “fulltime” hobby, starting a Round Dance club in Tucson, AZ while dancing and teaching all over the country. Recently moved to Louisville, they now offer cueing and teaching to all that would like to dance, combining Glen’s resonant “radio voice” and perfect timing with Gloria’s experienced teaching.
